Psychotherapy, Counselling and Supervison Qualifications

I hold a professional Post-graduate Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy, a Diploma in Supervision of Psychotherapists and have also attended a course in Group Psychotherapy. I have worked in private, voluntary and public settings and in business consultancy. I have practised for 19 years. The sessions are confidential and I hold indemnity insurance.

Both Supervision and Psychotherapy aim to facilitate growth and success.

I am fully committed to my own ongoing professional and personal development, through courses, workshops, reading, ongoing own psychotherapy and supervision as well as other self-development practises, including Yoga, Qi Gong, Meditation.

A little bit about my background and experience: I am half Indian, half Danish and grew up in Scandinavia where I first developed an interest in nature, yoga and psychology.

I have lived in the UK since 1986 and continued to develop my interests here. My work in the last decade has covered family and couple therapy, physical healing, alternative medicine, working with severe mental disturbances, dreams and group therapy.

For eight years, I worked as a GP surgery counsellor and I now run a counselling service in primary care serving 5,000 patients, with 5 trainees supervised by myself. I am also a tutor at the Minster Centre for psychotherapy where I facilitate groups of psychotherapy trainees and am a supervisor for second and third year students.

In addition to this, I supply group supervison and individual supervison for counsellours at EACH (an addiction counselling service).
